At JointMotion, We understand that people often understand more about their own health and wellness than anyone else. You want a clinician who can listen to your concerns, make an assessment and then effectively communicate their findings to you.
Pain - long thought to be cause and effect of damage to the body is now considered to be a lot more complicated. Thankfully, Physiotherapists are well placed to untangle the myths and misunderstandings around pain and how it will effect us in our day to day lives. Usually, if you are coming to see a physio, you are experiencing pain and you want it treated. An accurate assessment will allow the physio to develop a treatment plan to address your pain.
After assessing the source of your pain, we will explain it to you and collaboratively develop a plan to address it. The benefit of having multiple techniques and treatment strategies is the ability to tailor them to your individual case. If you have previously experienced similar symptoms or received an effective musculoskeletal treatment from a physio, discuss this with your therapist at Joint Motion Physiotherapy.
In an ideal world, treating a painful neck, back or joint would result in never having pain there again! Sadly, this is not the case and rehabilitation should be pursued until pain has gone and you have returned to moving the way you want to again. A comprehensive exercise program can be prepared for you to continue with after finishing your physio input.
